Your website health check.
Is it pulling its weight?
Your website should earn its keep. Check your SEO, mobile speed and Google listing for free, then see what needs a bit of work.
A website health check.
With a useful list of fixes.
You’ve got a website. You’d like it to bring in more work. Our free website health check looks for the technical problems that can get in the way, then shows you what to tackle first.
Check your on-page SEO.
Give every page a proper introduction.
Does your page title say what you do? Is there a useful search description? Do the headings help someone find the answer they came for?
The SEO checker reads your page titles, meta descriptions and headings together. It also checks indexing instructions, canonical URLs and page addresses, so you can spot missing details and pages that need a clearer purpose.
Check my website’s SEOA clear description of what you offer, where you work and why someone should take a look.
- Page title
- Give each page its own subject
- Meta description
- Make the introduction count
- Headings
- Help people find their way
Your results use the titles, descriptions and headings found on your website.
A website speed test.
Because nobody came for the loading screen.
Your next customer might be checking your site on their phone between jobs. Heavy images and slow-loading pages make that harder than it needs to be.
We run a mobile Lighthouse test through Google PageSpeed Insights. Your report shows the performance, SEO, accessibility and best-practice scores returned by Google, alongside its loading measurements and suggestions.
We also review image sizing, alternative text and a sample of the image formats your site actually serves. That gives you something more useful than “make it faster”.
Run a free website speed checkWhat’s behind the speed score?
- Loading
- How quickly the main content appears.
- Stability
- Whether the layout jumps as the page loads.
- Responsiveness
- Lab measurements of work that can hold up a page.
- Images
- Formats, sizing and space reserved in the layout.
One mobile lab test gives you a starting point. Compare it with real visitor data when you’re deciding what to fix.
Check your Google Business Profile.
Help local customers join the dots.
Finding your website is only part of the picture. People also need the right phone number, opening hours and website link when they find your business on Google Maps.
Add your business name and town or postcode to the website check. Choose your listing, and we’ll review the public details Google returns, with pointers on what deserves a look.
Keep your website and listing telling the same story. If you want help with the wider picture, see how Kitso supports your online visibility.

What a free website audit checks, what your score means and where to go next.
There can be a few things at play. People might not be finding your pages, the site might be slow on a phone, or the next step might be hard to spot. Your offer, reputation and local demand matter too. Start with this website audit to find technical issues, then look at your search and visitor data before deciding what to change.
Your first check reads the page you give us and up to three linked pages. Enter your name and email afterwards for a detailed audit of up to 20 public pages. The audit looks at titles, search descriptions, headings, indexing instructions, page addresses, image markup, contact routes and other technical basics. We also sample up to three images to check the formats actually served, rather than judging them only by the filename.
It’s Kitso’s technical health score, using a fixed rubric for page clarity, usability, delivery basics and optional extras. Repeated findings are grouped, with deductions based on their importance and how widely they appear. Unverified risks lose less than confirmed gaps. The report shows every deduction and how much we could check. Critical issues such as a noindex instruction cap the score. It is not a Google ranking score or an estimate of lost enquiries.
Yes. We request a mobile Lighthouse test through Google PageSpeed Insights and show the scores and findings Google returns. This is one simulated lab test, so results can vary. If Google cannot complete the run or its quota is exhausted, we say so and leave that result unavailable.
Yes, as long as its pages are publicly accessible. We read the HTML the website sends us and sample its image delivery. Some content only appears after JavaScript runs, and some platforms block automated visits. We explain what we could check rather than treating everything we couldn’t read as a fault.
WebP and AVIF can reduce image size without losing the detail you need, which can help pages load faster. JPEG and PNG can still be suitable. Some image services deliver WebP or AVIF even when the original URL contains ‘jpg’. We inspect a small sample of image responses and flag older formats for review, rather than calling every JPEG an error.
Add your business name and town or postcode, then select the right listing from the results. We check the website, phone number and opening hours returned by Google. The report shows the public details Google returns, with useful things to check on your own profile.
A well-built website gives search engines clearer information and customers a better reason to choose you. Helpful service pages, relevant local information and a consistent Google listing can all support that work. Competition, relevance and location still matter. Nobody can promise you a particular position or number of enquiries.
We carry your website address into our existing website-preview process. You can ask Kitso to read your site and use what it finds to prepare a new design. The preview is free. If you choose to put it live, plans start at £39 a month. You can check both plans before deciding.
Yes. Kitso for Business is included with both website plans, with tools for enquiries, customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and payments. You can also work in your browser. Get the iPhone app from the App Store and the Android app from Google Play. Features such as managed Google listing support and monthly blog content depend on your plan.
Your first score appears without an email. To unlock the detailed SEO audit, enter your name and email and confirm that Kitso can use it for the audit and a reply about the findings. The audit opens here and downloads as an HTML report you can keep or print to PDF. Listing details and speed checks use Google’s services.
A closer look at up to 20 public pages: their titles, search descriptions, headings, preferred addresses, image markup, indexing instructions and contact routes. Each page has its own findings and priorities. Your search preview and heading outline help you see what needs changing. For a broader strategy, bring your Search Console, analytics and competitor research into the picture too.
